Áine Cahill has been described as ‘Ireland’s Adele’. But you can call her ‘Ireland’s last surviving leprechaun!’. Standing at four foot eleven, with a ginger afro and purple top hat; she’s following her rainbow to a pot of gold.
Áine is a 21 year old singer-songwriter from Cavan. She is inspired by modern pop music and the old jazz classics from the 1940s and ’50s. Her debut EP Paper Crown was named Unsigned and Independent magazine’s No.1 unsigned Irish EP in 2014.
Áine Cahill and Spam Turner formed in the summer of 2015 and kicked off their musical career together with a slot at Electric Picnic. Since then, they have been gigging continuously around Ireland, including performances at Rocktoberfest in Galway, Whelan’s in Dublin and an appearance as special guests of The Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow in the Cork Opera House. Expect an energetic live show consisting of songs written by the talented Áine Cahill. Prepare to get your heart broken and lifted at the same time.
