Young Earth are a brand new Indie-Pop band from Dublin, Ireland. Drawn to big productions from the years before such as The Beach Boys, The Zombies, Phil Spector and Paul Simon, they developed a love for the gossamer sounds of summer, along the way picking up traits from guitar bands such as Vampire Weekend, Arctic Monkeys, The Stone Roses, Mac DeMarco and The Black Keys. Their sound can drift from light, airy summer pop tunes to heavier, overdrive drenched styles but their obsessive focus on solid hooks, harmonies and singalong choruses create a fresh, retro tinged style of guitar pop. Debut single Maggie is available now.
"Tallaght slo-mo indie-pop newcomers Young Earth are a band well capable to knocking out killer harmonies and melodies" - Jim Carroll, Irish Times (On the Record)
"'Maggie' is a swinging piece of guitar pop from Young Earth, a summer single that mixes old elements of innocent 50's rock and 90's Britpop" Remy's music and film blog
