David Nagle is a teenage singer/songwriter from the small town of Doolin, Co. Clare. This being an area rich in traditional music, David has been singing as long as he remembers and started out with his music playing the fiddle at a young age. With influences from artists such as Taylor Swift, James Blunt and Ellie Goulding, David began playing the guitar & piano at age 11 - The same time as he began song writing.
Developing his skills over the following years, David started busking on the streets of Galway & Dublin in Transition Year. In Fifth Year he won a competition on YouTube and had the incredible experience of recording his song "Forever" at Sticky Studios, London - The home of Grammy Award winning producer Jake Gosling, where Ed Sheeran recorded & produced his albums "+" and "X".
David has been playing opening & solo gigs in his locality of Doolin, and around Galway City in venues such as The Roisín Dubh and The Quays since. He is recording his debut EP this coming August. When asked to describe his music, David says "I hate to confine myself to one genre, but I guess you could put me somewhere between acoustic pop, singer songwriter and folk... I get compared to Ed Sheeran a lot!"
David is a first year medicine student in NUI Galway. To find out more about his music, EP release and live gigs visit facebook.com/DavidNagleMusic
